South Carolina has an estimated 79,916 (2.2%) of adults believed to have signs of a gambling problem, while ranking 37th nationally in revenue from gambling ($1.14 billion).
As of 2012 South Carolina only provided a state lottery and charitable gambling as legal in the state. As for treatment the 11 cents per capita gained the state a national ranking of 28th in funding. Sadly the treatment funding proves to be better than nothing but not by much. With a bare bones service it is unlikely to come close to the real need for services.
