With an estimated 214,456(2.2%) of adults in North Carolina believed to presently have signs of a gambling problem (self-reported), revenue is ranked 28th nationally at $1.6 billion. This revenue is from 3,145 electronic machines, state lottery, Indian Casinos and charity gambling.
North Carolina spends 10 cents per capita on gambling treatment which is 30th nationally. It also has an affiliate of the NCPG which is all volunteer. The North Carolina Council on Problem Gambling’s (NCCPG) mission is to “help the public contact available problem and compulsive gambling services in the state and to put citizens in contact with GA meetings. They also provide literature and informational talks throughout the state.
