New Hampshire may be 44th in revenue from Gambling, but it offers no real help for addiction.

New Hampshire’s estimated 22,696(2.2%)  adult citizens are at the core of $254.92 million in revenue from gambling. The revenue is 44th in the United States and yet as of 2013 no public funding goes specifically to problem gambling services. The NCPG contracts with the Louisiana Problem Gambling Helpline to answer the calls from New Hampshire.

New Hampshire receives their revenue from a state lottery, Pari-mutual wagering and charity gambling. To me this is a sad situation and could pose ever increasing problems for the state. The rational is likely that a lottery helps schools and Charity gambling is for fundraising sadly these two forms are far more addictive than admitted. Pari-mutual is also a grave danger because it has a wide spectrum of applications.
